How do I spend my first talent points in WoW (Frost mage)?

    Your first talent point won’t matter. Put it in what you think will help you most. Besides, you can always reset your talent points (for a low fee) if you do make a mistake.

    Initially, your focus should be on buffing up the skills you use, like Frost Bolt, Frost Nova, and maybe Blizzard.

    Pick up Icy Veins and Cold Snap when they become available.

    Then worry about the more general Frost buffs when these aren’t possible.
