In group PvP as a paladin, your goal will be to annoy the enemy by not letting them kill who they want to.

In group PvP as a druid, your goal will be to annoy the enemy by simply being very difficult to kill.

Paladins are the best PvP healers without a doubt. They have the armor, talents, and skills to take a beating while casting heals, they can make themselves immune to all damage while healing (and doing damage if specced for it), and in case of emergency they can shield their target from all melee damage or blow a 1 hour cooldown and heal their target (or themselves) to near full health.

Druids in PvP are incredible in the right hands. Healing specced, their heal over time spells are a force to be reckoned with if they aren't purged, plus they can CC two people on their own for brief periods of time. Cat form isn't as good at stunlocking as a rogue, but if no one is looking for you, you can jump and kill a healer / mage before anyone knows what's happened. My personal favorite is to cyclone someone, hop into bear form, root another melee who is hitting me, and proceed to feral charge anything that's casting. I may not do as much damage as I could be, but it'll take half a dozen people to kill me. And, frankly, it's hilarious to do / watch. (FYI Druid / Paladins grouped in PvP may not kill the quickest, but it is really freaking hard to get them both down).

PvE is a bit more dull. Paladins can still heal very well despite a change or two recently, and they can tank anything but possibly the last raid instance or two (damage mitigation and reliance on mana being their shortcomings here). Doing damage as a paladin is possible in PvE, but tends to get you laughed at some.

Druids can do a bit of healing, or DPS, or Tanking. Note the 'or' in there, it's important. They do suffer from similar tanking issues as Paladins in the very end game raids (lack of block / parry is brutal).

In PvE I'd say Paladins are, and always will be, more sought after end game, particularly if you're holy specced. But I seriously doubt anyone would turn down a restoration druid. In PvP, play around with both and see which style you enjoy more (and they are very different PvP styles).

Both are really good.

Paladin non-healing gear is still a bit lacking. Druid spellcasting (non-healing) gear could use a bit of tweaking too. But other than itemization, they're both stellar classes to play - flexible and powerful.

Well, what do you want to do? PvP/PvE wise. Healing/Tanking for the paladin, or Healing/Tanking/DPS for the druid?

If Paladin, best PvP healer, PvE very nice endgame healer, great for spot healing or single target (I played a 70 holy paladin before I quit this June)

Druid, amazing PvE healer. PvP is good too because of Cyclone I think it's called and Barkskin. PvE tanking is almost as good as a warrior, and their cat DPS is great. PvP cat is very good too.

So.. Druid for DPS or Tanking, and Paladin for healing.
